Many of the top professional drivers got their start in go kart racing at an early age. Go karts racing is generally the stepping stone for racing other types of cars when a certain level of experience and age has been acquired. Go Karts are also known as ‘Go Carts’ and this racing is a regulated racing sport and permits children 8 years of age or older to race. There are a large number of different types of go karts racing including speedway, sprint, and endurance. Sprint races take place on short road courses that employ both right and left turns.
