Norwegian oil industry seeks qualified professionals to meet high demandAccording to Offshore Magazine, Norway needs 8,000 engineers to meet industry needs and there is currently a high demand for experienced engineers and skilled people in the sector.

As the market continues to heat up due to global demand and high prices, a new report by Hays Oil & Gas and Oil and Gas Job Search shows that oil and gas professionals in Norway saw a 8.5% rate of growth in salaries in 2012. The report, titled Oil and Gas Global Salary Guide 2013, showed that the global average salary is $87,300, which puts Norway in the top 5 countries with average local salaries alongside Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Canada. Les salaires dans l’industrie du pétrole en Norvège augmenteront de 3,4%

La industria petrolera Noruega conoce de incremento del 3.4% de sus salariosLundi dernier, le syndicat ouvrier LO et la confédération patronale NHO ont signé un accord garantissant une hausse des salaires de 3,4% dans le secteur des hydrocarbures. L’accord concerne plus de 156.000 employés syndiqués travaillant dans les différentes branches du secteur. Il prévoit une hausse de 0,75 NOK par heure pour ceux qui gagnent 90% de plus du salaire moyen d’un salarié de l’industrie, et une hausse de 2,15 NOK par heure pour ceux qui gagnent moins.

L’augmentation des salaires de 3,4% est inférieure aux prévisions du gouvernment norvégien, de la banque centrale et de l’institut national des statistiques. Cependant, Kristin Skogen, directrice de NHO a exprimé sa satisfaction, déclarant être « nous sommes heureux d’avoir pu atteindre un accord raisonnable, qui contribue à un changement de rythme nécessaire pour la compétitivité des entreprises norvégiennes. » Read more

La industria petrolera Noruega conoce de incremento del 3.4% de sus salariosEl lunes pasado, el sindicato LO y la confederación de empleados NHO llegaron al acuerdo de subir del 3.4% los salarios en el sector del petróleo y del gas. El acuerdo afecta 156,000 miembros de sindicatos en diferentes sectores. El convenio fija un incremento del salario horario de NOK0.75 para los cuales ganan más del 90% del salario promedio en esa industria, y más de NOK2.15 por hora para los ganando menos.

El incremento del 3.4% del salario en la industria petrolera fue debajo de las expectativas del gobierno Noruego, del Banco Central y de la Agencia Nacional de estadística. Sin embargo, Kristin Skogen, jefe executivo de NHO comentó positivamente: “Estamos satisfechos de los resultados de las negociaciones, y estamos feliz de haber sido entendidos sobre la necesidad de una moderación.” Skogen añadió, “Eso contribuye al cambio necesario de ritmo laboral, el cual es muy importante para la competitividad de las empresas Noruegas.” Read more
