According to Offshore Magazine, Norway needs 8,000 engineers to meet industry needs and there is currently a high demand for experienced engineers and skilled people in the sector.
As the market continues to heat up due to global demand and high prices, a new report by Hays Oil & Gas and Oil and Gas Job Search shows that oil and gas professionals in Norway saw a 8.5% rate of growth in salaries in 2012. The report, titled Oil and Gas Global Salary Guide 2013, showed that the global average salary is $87,300, which puts Norway in the top 5 countries with average local salaries alongside Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Canada.
