Biophilia, het nieuwe studioalbum van de IJslandse zangeres Björk, beleeft zijn première op alle Icelandair vluchten als onderdeel van het inflight entertainment systeem. Björk’s laatste volledige album, releasedatum maandag 10 oktober 2011, is nu beschikbaar aan boord van alle Icelandair vluchten.

“Het is een hele eer voor ons bij Icelandair om Björk’s Biophilia album aan te kunnen bieden als onderdeel van ons inflight entertainment programma. Björk is op dit moment één van de voornaamste artiesten in de wereld, en veel mensen hebben vol verwachting gewacht om naar dit album te kunnen luisteren. Icelandair breidt aantal vluchten naar Reykjavik IJsland in zomer 2012 uit

Icelandair, sinds 1937 de nationale luchtvaartmaatschappij van IJsland, breidt in de zomer van 2012 haar aantal nonstop vluchten vanuit Amsterdam naar Reykjavik uit naar maar liefst 12 vluchten per week.

In de zomermaanden worden er dagelijkse vluchten aangeboden met een vertrek vanaf Schiphol om 14:00 uur en aankomst op de luchthaven van Keflavik om 15:10 uur. Op de dinsdag, woensdag, vrijdag, zaterdag en zondag is er een extra vlucht met vertrek om 22:25 uur en aankomst om 23:30 uur. In de omgekeerde richting vertrekken de vluchten dagelijks vanuit Keflavik om 07:55 uur, met aankomst om 12:55 uur op Schiphol. De vijf extra vluchten vertrekken dan vanuit IJsland om 16:30 uur, met aankomst in Amsterdam om 21:30 uur. Read more

I år vil Björk fremføre Biophilia-konserten to ganger på musikkfestivalen Iceland Airwaves (12.-16. oktober), i tillegg til seks andre intimkonserter i den nyåpnede konserthallen Harpa, som ligger i Reykjavik sentrum.

På disse spesielle konsertene vil Björk fremføre nye sanger fra det kommende studioalbumet Biophilia, samt musikk fra de tidligere sjangersprengende albumene med en gruppe unike samarbeidspartnere og et kor bestående av 24 jenter. Read more
