RIMC announces Ralph Tegtmeier aka fantomaster as “Dark Session” panel speaker for 2012

Reykjavik Internet Marketing Conference (RIMC) has announced that Ralph Tegtmeier aka fantomaster, the co-founder and CEO of fantomaster.com PGmbH, will be speaking during this year’s Social Media and Internet Marketing event. President van IJsland geeft aftrap voor nieuwe toeristische campagne van Inspired by Iceland

De president van IJsland, Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, heeft vandaag via een toespraak de aftrap gegeven van een nieuwe toeristische campagne waarbij hij toeristen publiekelijk bij hem thuis heeft uitgenodigd en moedigde andere IJslandse burgers aan om zijn voorbeeld te volgen.

Marketing campaigns prove huge success for Keflavik International Airport

Through a handful of successful marketing campaigns, Keflavik International Airport has strengthened its customer relations, resulting in an increase in positive activity on its social media outlets, online and from customers passing through the terminal.

The airport in Iceland has implemented successful campaigns such as sweepstakes, online games, competitions with prizes to be won, and most recently a travel raffle. Prior to the implementation of these campaigns, KEF was already well-known for its passenger satisfaction. Online campaign inspires Iceland tourism

Iceland tourism campaign, Inspired by Iceland began in June 2010 after visitor numbers to Iceland dropped rapidly due to the Eyjafjallajokull volcanic eruption in April 2010. Since it’s inception, the campaign has been encouraging people to visit Iceland again by organising many events across the country, showcasing Iceland’s culture and natural beauty, as well as allowing individuals to share their stories and memories.

The first event organised by Inspired by Iceland, ‘Iceland Hour’ involved the whole nation leaving messages online, welcoming and encouraging the world to experience Iceland for themselves. Over 1 million messages and e-cards were sent and the Inspired by Iceland promotional video was downloaded over 1 million times, proving the event to be extremely successful. Read more
