Iceland Airwaves est fier d’annoncer le grand retour de Sigur Rós au festival. Mit einer richtig gewählten Lagertechnologie können sowohl Raum als auch Betriebskosten erspart werden, was vor allem im Falle der Lagerung in Gefrieranlagen bei den gegenwärtigen Energiepreisen eines der wichtigsten Kriterien für ihren Betrieb ist.

Zum unausgenutzen Raum in Gefrieranlagen ist vor allem die große Anzahl von leeren Gängen für Manipulationstechnik und hohe Decken von Lagerhallen. Wegen ihnen entsteht ein unausgenutzter Raum, der die Kosten auf eine gelagerte Einheit erhöht. Dabei ist die Lösung insgesamt einfach – man muss diese unausgenutzten Räume loswerden.

Der Einbau der Fahrregale füllt die leeren Gassen und lässt nur eine Gasse übrig, die durch die Umstellung der Regale auf der Stelle, die zugänglich zu machen ist, entsteht. Die Ehöhung der Regale auf die maximale Höhe lässt dann einen weiteren Lagerungsraum entstehen. Die Kapazität des Gefrierlagers wird somit doppelt erhöht. Beim Aufbau einer neuen Gefrieranlage werden die Kosten auf die Errichtung einer Lagerstelle durch die Anwendung von Fahrregalen bis zu 37% und die Enegiebetriebskosten bis zu 52% gesenkt.

Hiermit sind aber die Kürzungen der Betriebskosten eines Gefrierlagers nicht zu Ende. Zum Zubehör gehören auch die Möglichkeit der Beleuchtung nur in einer offenen Gasse, was zu weiteren Betriebsersparnissen führt, und die Ordnung der gleichmäßigen Aufstellung der Regale bei der Einfrierung. Weitere Betriebsordnungen lassen sich je nach Wunsch des Kunden schaffen. Das ganze Lager wird durch eine Steuerungseinheit mit Touchscreen, bzw. auch durch Fernbedienung gesteuert.

Obwohl die Einführung der Fahranlage in einem neu erbauten Lager eine bestimmte Vorbereitung beansprucht, ist sie auch in dem Falle, dass mit dieser Technologie nicht vom Anfang des Aufbaus an gerechnet worden ist, möglich.

Falls es sich um die Rekonstruktion einer bestehenden Gefrieranlage handelt, dauert der ganze Prozess von der Entscheidung bis zur Inbetriebsetzung der rekonstruierten Halle in der Regel drei Monate. Es entfällt also der Aufbau der neuen Gefrierhalle und das umständliche Verfahren am Bauamt. Eine komplette Stilllegung des rekonstruierten Lagers dauert in der Regel nicht länger als zehn Wochen.
