Algae production greenhouses create interest at Asbru Enterprise Park

Algae production greenhouses at the Asbru Enterprise Park in Iceland have created interest amongst representatives of domestic and foreign companies in the health and cosmetics industry.

According to Arni Sigfusson, Mayor of Reykjanes town, where Asbru is situated, companies in the health and cosmetics industry have shown interest in building the algae greenhouses, and representatives have already visited the Enterprise Park to check out the facilities. Representatives are also looking to utilise existing buildings for the algae production, as well as to invest in plots of land for future constructions. Read more

Film studio at Asbru in Iceland shoots Atle Pettersen music video

X Factor finalist Atle Pettersen was recently in Iceland shooting a music video at the film production studio in Asbru Enterprise Park. Joining Pettersen was aspiring Norwegian rapper, Rex who was shooting the video for the song ‘Amazing’.

Rex said that he had always wanted to visit Iceland, and when he learnt about Atlantic Studios and the possibility of filming a music video in the country, there was no question. Read more

Asbru Enterprise Park in Iceland to host aviation conference

Asbru Enterprise Park in Iceland is set to host the upcoming aviation conference, Airports and Airlines Winter Operations. The conference, organised by Keilir Aviation Academy in cooperation with Air Transport News, AEA, ACI, SITA, Icelandair and Kadeco, will take place on Monday 10th October 2011 in the Andrews Theater at Asbru.

The aviation conference is set to explore how technology, rules, regulations, airports equipment and personal training must be improved before the next winter snowfalls and storms in Europe. Read more

ISC moves offices to enterprise park ready for new silicon plant in Iceland

Asbru Enterprise Park in Iceland welcomes the Icelandic Silicon Corporation (ISC) to its already diverse, innovative family, after the company relocated its offices in preparation for the new silicon-metal facility.

The facility, which has received a total investment of 110 million Euros, is expected to be operational by the second half of 2013 and will employ approximately a 100 man workforce made up of experts, technicians and general staff. Read more
