NNPC boosts fuel supply to marketers

ABUJA, NIGERIA–(18.09.12)- The Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has said that it has taken measures to end the current fuel scarcity being witnessed in Lagos and some parts of the country.

The Acting Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the Corporation, Mr. Fidel Pepple on Monday said the fuel shortage is due to the shutdown of system 2b, a major pipeline that evacuates between nine to eleven million litres of fuel from Lagos to Ibadan, Ilorin and the north due to serious vandalism by oil thieves a couple of weeks ago. NNPC, Genesis Electricity Sign MOU on Power Supply to PHRC

ABUJA, NIGERIA–(08.08.12)- The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and Genesis Electricity Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding designed to bolster power supply to the Port Harcourt Refining Company, PHRC, and strengthen its production capacity.

Speaking during the ceremony at the NNPC Towers in Abuja, the Group Managing Director of the Corporation, Engr. Andrew Yakubu stated that the MOU would give PHRC a new lease of life and curb unstable power supply to the facility. Read more

The newly-appointed Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Engr. Andrew Yakubu, has said that the management team under his watch will introduce new business models in all its Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Corporate Service Units (CSUs). This is to ensure the commercial viability of the Corporation in order to remain competitive in the global oil and gas industry.

Engr. Yakubu made this disclosure during his inaugural town hall meeting with management and staff of the NNPC at the NNPC Towers on Wednesday 4th July, 2012. Read more
